Getting the Horse To Drink

I worry often, I fret sometimes,
 I yell,  I am rude
 I am concerned ..
I tug, I pull, I push sometimes.
I whisper sweet nothings into his ear,
I smile my most charming of smiles,
I laugh till I turn pink...

But do whatever i might, I do
I cannot get my horse to drink...

I have tried all tricks of the trade, but  i get  him to the stream seldom .. he raises his eyebrows, he neighs his darnest,  shakes his head something fierce ( looking gorgeous all the while ) and of course towers above me in displeasure while still carrying the twinkle in his eye which tells me he how much he enjoys making me sweat.
He complaints a lot, is particular to a fault and doesn;t trust me or my choice of poison. I wish he would..so he would stop touring the country trying to find the perfect brew. I am tierd of telling him i could google it for him, have flipkart or amazon deliver the samples.... its easy when you have a pay-pal and he can spit and snarl in the comforts of our home but then, where is the satisfaction of PDA  his old world heart demands ;) and we are back by the brink of brine filled stream tugging and pulling, all for a drink ...

Its an old world adage but still so very true, we all have our horses...
the strong, the stubborn, the haughtily beautiful people in our lives who we love to adore, who we get down and dirty for.
who will race to end of the world for us, who will jump all hurdles in rescue,
who turn mellow when we offer them the sugar lump, who rage in lighting and thunder,
who puff with pride very so often... yet for some inexplicable reason need all the coaxing in the world to come have a drink with us ..
Let me know if you know of a trick or treat that works for you and maybe it will for me too.
